Sofas to dining chairs

The fabric picks the method, then your sofa gets cleaned.

Sofas, sectionals, armchairs and dining chairs. Fabric assessed first, then the right method for it.

Chapter 01

A sofa gets read before it gets wet

Upholstery is the one cleaning job where the wrong first move can't be taken back. Wool shrinks, silk water-marks, and some dyes travel the moment they get damp. So at Alan's the first step is looking at the fabric, not reaching for the extractor.

That check is why the job starts with a conversation. Tell Alan whether the piece is a sofa, a sectional, an armchair or a dining chair, and what the cloth feels like under your hand. He settles the method from there and quotes a flat rate by phone at 949-457-1227.

The people doing the work are technicians Alan employs, background-checked, working in your living room. For something you sit on every night, that counts.

Hot water for synthetics, dry solvent for wool, silk and linen

Synthetic fabrics take hot water extraction well. Warm water and cleaner go in, the dirty water comes back out carrying the soil with it. It's the same method Alan's runs on carpet, and it suits the fabrics that can take it.

Wool, silk and linen are the cloths that object to water. Those get a dry-solvent clean instead, which lifts soil without soaking the fibre. Same sofa, different method, because the cloth is different.

Not sure what yours is? Lift a cushion and look for the care tag, which often carries a cleaning code. Read it to Alan on the phone and he'll tell you which way the job goes.

Chapter 03

Sofas, sectionals, armchairs, dining chairs and ottomans

Alan's cleans sofas, sectionals, armchairs, dining chairs and ottomans, one piece or the whole room.

Dining chair seats are small but take the most daily contact, with crumbs, spills and sleeves. Ottomans and armchairs get ignored until the sofa is done and they suddenly look tired beside it, which is why it's worth quoting the whole room at once.

Anywhere from Laguna Hills to Dana Point sits inside Alan's roughly 30-mile service radius, and scheduling is usually same-week, Monday through Saturday.

Tell Alan the fabric and the piece count

Those two answers are most of a flat-rate quote. The rest is the same hot water extraction Alan's uses on carpet, and the same crew that handles blinds and windows in the same rooms.

Which pieces
A sofa and two armchairs is a different quote from a sectional and six dining chairs. Count them.
What the tag says
Wool, silk and linen go dry-solvent. Synthetics go hot water. If the tag is gone, describe the feel of the cloth.
What got spilled
Say what it was and roughly when. A fresh spill and a year-old mark are different problems.
