Why a pressure washer doesn't belong on a solar array
Panels look tough, but pressure and abrasive brushing are exactly what panel makers say to keep off the glass. The method they recommend is gentler: purified water and a soft brush.
That's why Alan's does not pressure wash solar panels, ever. High pressure and stiff bristles risk the glass and the seals around it, and nobody wants to find that out after the fact.

Purified water has its dissolved minerals removed, so it dries without leaving spots. It's the same water system the crew uses on windows, and it does the same job on a panel: the glass dries clear instead of cloudy with mineral film.
